They come from Academia, the professional world, advocacy or they live next door. They are clinicians, researchers,, scholars, authors, storytellers, artists, human rights defenders, peacemakers, life lovers.  Their age varies as they are as fresh as daisies in the teens or fully blossomed roses in their wisdom years. Black, white, red, brown, yellow ... their skin color is different, their language, culture, religion and all other traits as different as the stars in the sky. But, there is a linking element: They have encouraged and exemplified the virtue of kindness among people; touched or enriched the lives of others, particularly those who are vulnerable or less able to help themselves; shown ongoing initiative, leadership and dedication; devoted themselves to sustained and selfless voluntary service;
earned the respect of their peers and become a role model in their field within Prenatal Sciences; demonstrated innovation or creativity in delivering lasting results; they advanced knowledge and understanding; they added value to human experience on Earth...

This year there were 3 different types of awards established and presented: 1. The field award, 2. Awards in living memory of pioneers, 3. awards to artists and authors voted by you.
